About the job
In this position, your focus area is our new business data platform - the primary repository of data when conducting business reporting and analysis. You work closely with the product owner to make sure that the platform is aligned with our business objectives and future needs. You're responsible for the short- and long-term plan to ensure the technical platform, as well as our data architecture, are fit for purpose and future needs.
You work in an agile product application team, consisting of both Sandvik employees and external consultants. You're the technical expert in the team and you're involved in development of requested features, testing and coordination with other teams and business stakeholders. You provide advice, assistance and leadership associated with the planning, design and improvements of our platform - also regarding component availability and performance. Through prototypes and tech-watch, you contribute to the development of our Azure platform, and you collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to increase the long-term quality of delivery and learning.
You're based at our office either in Sandviken or Stockholm. We have flexible working hours and offer the opportunity to work from home or from another location a couple of days a week.
About you
To succeed in this role, Data Architecture has been your world for several years and you're an expert in Data Architecture design. Writing SQL and data modelling is natural to you. You have a degree in a relevant field of studies - such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or another related field. You have excellent communication skills in English, and preferable also in Swedish.
For the job, this is also important
Strong knowledge in areas such as:
Azure components like ADFv2, Synapse
Databricks with Delta Lake
Azure Advanced Analytics technologies and frameworks
Advanced Analytics related programming language, for example Python
(Microsoft) cloud-based delivery model
Data Management, Data Governance and Data Quality
Experience of:
Real time/streaming data
Working in a DevOps team
Working in a global environment
