What are we trying to do?
Volvo Cars' Financial and Mobility Services unit within Global Commercial Operations wants to better support our local sales companies globally by delivering data and insights from our global collection of financial services partners and insurance partners.
What do we need from you?
* You will manage, collect, systemize and govern insurance and data and data from financial partnerships for all markets to support and track sales performance and provide analytical insights and decision support to boost additional growth, customer offer improvements and revenue, as well as provide valuable insights and conclusions on insurance and financial partnerships that could be used to support solutions offered within financial services and wider.
* As the first dedicated team member in this area, we need you to help us build up a centralised database of financial services information from across our global partners. We have a team that can help us set up the connections between partners with either APIs or SFTP and we have an existing data platform in Snowflake, but we need you to help build up and design the tables, map the partner data and develop the reports and insights we need to help our team deliver fantastic insights to their partners.
* Drive the definition of clean and reliable data and on time and set up a reporting server for our global team to access and build reports from in PowerBI.
* Negotiate and secure the data we need from our financial partners, map data from our various providers to a set of common data fields and build up the tables in our warehouse,
* Work with our teams to build up reporting that summarises the data across providers and delivers powerful insights to help our local sales companies get better insights from their financial services partners.
* Help us run special projects with other sets of large data.
* This is a position for a person who likes to work hands on in a transformative and cross-functional environment with the freedom to develop new reporting models or enhance current governing methods.
Who are you?
* You want a challenge to build a data gathering and analysis platform with multiple financial services partners and are happy to shape the function and a small team.
* You have at least 2 - 7 years' experience in a similar role
* Familiar with SFTP, data flows and data marts.
* It would be advantageous if you have experience in building and managing data gathering through API:s.
* It would be advantageous if you have experience from actuarial/pricing/underwriting within insurance.
* Highly skilled and efficient in Excel, Power-BI, SQL and data visualization.
