ABOUT YOU
As a person you get excited about the possibilities of data and its value for business, you also appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and turning architecture trends into practice. We also believe that you feel motivated by working both independently and interdependently with architecture network and cross functions. Furthermore, you embrace to work with an agile approach and you are open minded when it comes to change and most importantly you share and live the IKEA culture and values.

We believe you bring a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and have extensive knowledge in large datasets and distributed computing architectures. In addition, you have advanced and well proven training in computer science, econometrics and mathematics or equivalent. You have also experience in data visualisation software / applications and in data processing and -analysis languages.

You have knowledge in the following areas:
• cleaning data and how to deal with imperfections in data, including defining corrective actions to improve quality if needed
• way to leverage large data sets in answering business questions
• extensive knowledge in large datasets and data set processes for data modelling, mining and production
• experience with DevOps and agile development practices, in which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams
To be successful in the role you are experienced working with large amounts of raw data and different techniques and applications to drive insights from data. We believe you have high intellectual curiosity with the ability to acquire new knowledge and skills and champion new concepts, methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance. You know how to review user-story prioritisation based on new ideas, approaches, and strategies. Moreover, you collaborate with others to achieve goals and have a clear understanding regarding the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business.

ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will support and facilitate data driven decisions on product and strategy by visualising and presenting meaningful and actionable insights derived from analysis of business data, e.g. identifying correlations and discover patterns.

You will:
• be responsible for collecting and analysing business data to perform industry research and derive answers and insights on business questions, presented and reported through using various reporting tools
• leverage data assets by data collection and processing, to provide day-to-day meaningful and actionable strategic and operational insights
• problem solving for data quality issues from source systems and propose corrective actions for IT system or process improvements to step up data quality and timeliness over time
• be responsible for automating data cleaning processes, to be able to deliver insights to the business stakeholders on a periodical basis
• support data driven decision on product and strategy by visualisation of data and enable change through extensive knowledge of the business drivers that make the product successful
• disclose trends and metrics from sources of raw data to increase efficiency of the organisation
• apply strong written and verbal communication skills in storytelling, supported by visualisation of data, focused on other stakeholders both in data science and business
• manage medium-scale modelling projects, focused on collecting and cleaning data, in processes that are able to adapt to changing attributes
• work closely together with other data analysts and cross functions to produce all required design specifications and ensure that data solutions work together and fulfill business needs
• be updating the common Group Digital site on standards and methods when necessary to ensure alignment across the Group Digital
• support chapter lead in coaching and develop junior team members on functional expertise
• work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards data-driven solution
In this role you will report to the Data Analysis Chapter Lead.
