STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB is located on Händelö in Norrköping and has ST as the majority owner since February 2019. The company was originally called Norstel AB and is ST's competence center in silicon carbide material technology. Silicon carbide (SiC) is a new semiconductor that contributes to a sustainable future with more energy-efficient power components. The company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University and since 2006 in a production facility in Norrköping. The production area on Händelö in Norrköping is 2000 m2 and the facility runs around the clock. The focus is now on the development and pilot production of silicon carbide disks for vehicle electronics.
Job description
Our crystal and substrate process at ST generates vast amount of data. You will be the key player to bridge between the data and the R&D/process engineers and make sure to explore and identify insights.
In our Norrköping facility, we run pilot production and R&D. This includes new equipment and new ways to work. We are in the early days of data integration of all process equipment and utilizing central data collection. The team in Norrköping is small but you will have colleagues worldwide in other ST manufacturing sites.
At ST in Norrköping we are a small team, and it is normal to have many different tasks on-going at the same time and as you must be able to help a colleague with both small IT problems as well sorting out the impossible ones.
Your profile
Your Experience:
• Professional and/or academic experience from data analytics and data visualization
• Experience from building visualization and dashboard
• Ability to use data to do troubleshooting or problem explanation
• Hands-on experience from integration of process tools in a IT infrastructure
We would like you to know most of following:
• Master excel
• R or Python-Statistical Programming
• SQL basics and query build
• Conceptual knowledge of applying Machine learning
• Statistics from a quality and production perspective
As a person you need to be a team player, and both be good at and like communication. The scope of what we do when making a crystals and substrates is extremely complex and no single person can master all steps and all data. The interaction and collaboration with the R&D engineers, process engineers and management are the only way to make sure we move forward and continue to push the boundary for what is possible.
