About The Role
Our Data Engineering team is currently expanding, and we are currently looking for a Data Analyst / Engineer! You will be a part of IT and your stakeholders will be all over the organization. The team is currently in an expansion phase with new architecture under design. This is a great career opportunity for a data analyst or engineer to grow in front end, backend and design matters. You will also have possibility to influence new end to end data architecture and flows and designing data solutions from the start (On prem, Cloud and hybrid).
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Implementing traditional database & DWH concepts to provide self-service reporting solutions in Power BI
• Creating power BI reports
• Creating and maintaining data pipelines
• Identifying data quality gaps and improve data quality
• Design and build ETL/ELT processes
• Support in creating and improving functional and technical design of current and existing solutions
Your Profile
To thrive and succeed in the role you should be passionate about data, technical solutions, modern software development methodologies and learning new things related to data. You have an eye for details and are a driven person that has demonstrated "pulling up the sleeves" to reach your goals.
We believe you have:
• Relevant academic degree e.g., civil or industrial engineering, computer sciences, math, statistics etc.
• Overall experience with Analytics & BI tools and services (we use the Microsoft stack MS SQL, SSIS, Power BI)
• Experience with on premise DW and Cloud solutions
• Practical experience in setting up data warehouses and/or data lakes
• Experience in planning for implementation of big data systems
• Hands on ETL implementation
As a person you are result-orientated and you are an inclusive team player with a willingness to grow and develop. You have an ability to mentor other developers in all aspects of their engineering skillset. You are fluent in English and have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Other qualifications that it is good to have:
• Finance industry, or other regulated industry
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Working with data on cloud (e.g., Azure SQL, ADF, Data bricks, Snowflake etc.)
• Other programming skills such as Python, Scala etc.
• Create and maintain technical design and data architecture
• Overall experience with Analytics & BI tools and services, (we use the Microsoft stack MS SQL, SSIS, Power BI)
