The role
As a Data Analyst Controller at BMW your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
• Development of tools in the area of advanced analytics.
• Analyse major data sets (financial and non-financial, e.g. revenue, profit, sales volume).
• Further improvement of the data structure to enable advanced analytics.
• Develop and establish tools and reports for the business teams (e.g. predictive forecasting, anomaly detection).
• Support of the business teams for enabling data-driven decision making.
• Improvement controlling processes and further development of methods and standards with the usage of big data analysis and advanced analytics tools.
You will report to our Controlling Manager and be based at our Northern European headquarter in Stockholm, Sweden.
Who are you?
You have strong analytical skills and mindset with a relevant educational background in the field of advanced analytics and hold a relevant university degree. Excellent technical skills in the area of advanced analytics and programming (Python, R, SQL) and BI tools (QLIKSense) as well as a good general financial knowledge is required.
You have a flexible mindset with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks. Furthermore, you are able to provide advice tailored to the audience in an effective and efficient manner. Since we are an international organization you are fluent in English and at least one more Scandinavian language (preferably Swedish).
To be successful in the role we think that you need to have:
• Strong analytical skills
• Structured
• Proactive self-starter
• Very good communication skills and with a solid commercial understanding.
