The Challenge Ahead
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the DICE Operations analytics team. The analytics team?s goal is to guarantee the industry?s most talented game teams are well supported with quality data and tools to measure performance and provide insight into gameplay mechanics. We are a service minded team working in a fun fast paced environment within a company that values innovation.
The everyday responsibilities of the Data Analyst includes:
• Working with teams to scope telemetry and data requirements
• Development and maintenance of ETL procedures and data warehouse objects
• Designing and developing dynamic dashboards
• Providing ad-hoc analysis and proactive insight
• Taking a lead role on analytics projects and driving them to delivery
• Being proactive with data quality initiatives
• Practical team leadership
The Next Great Data Analyst at DICE Needs
When we look for the right person to add to the analytics team in DICE Operations we imagine someone who has experience in the following things:
• University education in Business, Engineering or other relevant area, preferably with focus on Information Management and/or Statistics
• Extensive work experience within data and statistics analysis at an interactive entertainment company or within research or consulting
• SQL, Business Objects and Data Warehousing experience
• Experience from working with business intelligence, big data, data mining, reconciliation tools and methodologies
• Strong Excel skills with an emphasis on pivot tables and writing macros; experience in database/data manipulation skills and experience in statistics
• Advantage if interest/experience in video gaming and/or online communities or equivalent
• and someone who fits most of these criteria:
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills; with ability to present to all levels within the organization and understanding how to differentiate presentations depending on the customer- - Expert in data base analysis

• Proactive and take initiatives

• Cooperates successfully with different people
Experience with the following tools will assure that the Data Analyst gets a flying start:
• Microsoft SQL Server BI Suite
• JavaScript report libraries
• Hadoop
• Tableau
