In Brief
We believe that our future success will be based on our ability to leverage the large amounts of data generated on our platform every day. We need the ability to gain fast insights from usage of our services to enable short cycles of product refinement and be able to create services based on all of our data.
As a Data Analyst at Nordnet you will be a part of the Insights team, which is a team of analysts part of a relatively newly formed Data & Insights department directly under the Chief Technology Officer.
The team's purpose is to generate insights through analysis in collaboration with product and business stakeholders with the North Star metric of creating the best platform for savings and investments. As an analyst you will normally focus on 2-3 product and/or business areas at a time.
During 2020 we began migrating our backend services to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with the ambition of being one of the few banks with cloud-based services in a highly regulated industry. During 2021 we started to rewrite our data & analytics environment from the bottom up on GCP. As an analyst you will have the new environment at your disposal but you are also required to get familiar with our old environment in Qlikview in order to answer all questions before all data needed is accessible in the new environment.

You are passionate about data and learning new things, and you want to contribute with your experience and passion. In your work, you are organised, methodical and agile in a way that benefits the team's working climate and ability to deliver valuable insights to the organisation.
In addition, you:
• have 3+ years of work experience as an analyst targeted towards product or business areas
• have experience from the finance/fintech industry and preferably have previous knowledge from one of our product or business areas
• work independently and drive your own initiatives - if you need an answer you find it
• have the ability to communicate the results of your work to non-technical stakeholders
• have experience working with Qliview, Looker or corresponding BI tools and are good at writing SQL in order to extract the data you need. Experience from transformation tools such as dbt/dataform is seen as a plus
• hold a BA degree or equivalent in engineering or business
