A Data Analyst
Job Description
Working in a team of three to four, the Data Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and data management support to the Operation Experience process. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming data into interactive visualization together with the applied analytics. Your job would be combinations of research and development, evaluations of the tools and platforms, development of self-service visualizations and participation in all aspects of the report creation process from initial meetings with internal teams to gathering the needs and data from various sources and creating the views in SQL databases to building an interactive dashboard.
Primary Responsibilities
Work within a team to support data driven insights and strategy
Interpret data sets and provide recommendations for optimizing integrations
Analyze data and identify trends and patterns in data
Generate reports/presentations/dashboards to provide clients with sophisticated and actionable insights
Participation in R&D projects for development of suitable analytical methods, platforms and visualizations
Supervision and coaching the temporary workers such as students
Participation in preparing monthly and quarterly reports
Make recommendations for improvements in reporting and dashboarding to management and senior management
Provide ad-hoc analysis based on request
Education/Certifications:
Master degree in engineering or science
Work Experience:
2 + years working in related field
Skills and experiences:
Strong analytical mind and interest in interpreting data
Experience in quantitative roles focusing on data analysis, interpretation, research, and insights
Ability to multi-task and meet the demands of a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter with an aptitude for defining new processes
Ability to find and apply both syndicated and internal data & research to uncover opportunities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
Proven experience transforming data into interactive visualization
Ability to pull insights from statistics
Ability to work with data analytic tools (R or MATLAB)
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel presentations
Must be fluent in SQL scripting ? must be able to work independently in SQL databases, creating them and joining tables.
Must be fluent in all Microsoft office programs
