Do you want to create the future with us?
The future belongs to those who are empowered by a great idea and have the ability to carry it out.
At Volvo Cars, we are on an exciting journey, redefining the automotive experience by innovating to make people's lives less complicated.

Our Agile Release Train for Autonomous Drive develops and integrate the complete vehicle solution for autonomous cars including sensing, system and functions. Our autonomous technology will take driving safely to a new level and to make this happen we need talented people on-board!

Verification and validation of unsupervised self-driving vehicles is something we at Volvo Cars see as utterly important, but also challenging. We are now starting a team that will develop, implement and apply methods and tools for verification of unsupervised self-driving vehicles with particular focus on route expansion as well as validation of the new routes.

We are now looking for a Development Engineer with competence of data analysis to our coming AD Intelligence Team.
You will actually be the first person in the team. However, you will not be alone! You will have a broad network to collaborate with skilled and motivated engineers within the Autonomous Drive organisation.

Who you are.

You are a self-driven team player with high ambitions. As a person, you are curious, innovative and entrepreneurial. You care about the people around you, and get things done.

You have experience of developing methods for automated analysis of large amounts of data and implementing these techniques into useful code and presenting the analysis results.

We believe that you have a drive to learn continuously and are flexible to broaden your experience to fit the agile way of working. You probably have a M.Sc. degree or higher. Good knowledge in English language both spoken and written, as well as a driver's license (B), is required for the role.

What will you do?

At Volvo Cars, we have an agile organization. The agile culture provides the tools needed to empower and engage teams to achieve great levels of productivity and quality.

You will develop new techniques to analyse autonomous driving data to extract novel information that describes what has happened during real world drives. We will explore new verification and validation concepts to show that the self-driving vehicle is safe and ready for the new route.

What do we offer?

We offer an environment where we learn every day, challenge each other and give continuous feedback. Your long-term competence plan will include steps to expand your knowledge and contributions within many competence areas that are within your interest or needed in the team.

We will support you to reach your full potential. Join us on this exciting journey into the future!

Application and contact!
Does this sound fun and like the next step in your career? We apply a continuous selection process so we recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than the 27th of January 2019. Note that we do not accept applications via e-mails.
