We are looking for an experienced and driven Customer Quality Engineer with a technical background to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent/bold/passionate Quality and Business improvement team based in Stockholm. By joining us, you will be a key player in our highly-dynamic team scaling-up to meet rapidly increasing business needs. Our objective is to deliver best in class quality in all our products to achieve the highest satisfaction of our customers. The Customer Quality Team is a centralized unit serving all customers for all battery systems manufactured by Northvolt.
About the job
Ensure customer quality requirements are met for all products. The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for owning customer nonconformities, defining and coordinating containment actions across the organization to secure the customer, as well as production sites in case of supplier-related issues. He/she will be performing deep root cause analysis with multifunctional teams when required, identifying permanent solutions, and ensuring the implementation of effective corrective actions in an efficient and timely manner to meet customers expectations.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Main interface to customer communication regarding critical and complex quality topics and conveying voice of customer inside the organization
Perform or coordinate root cause analysis on failure from field/ delivered products and implement containment and corrective actions for critical failures, and support Customer Quality Engineers with problem solving techniques or root cause analysis.
Ensure an efficient documentation and communication of lessons learned for product development and product changes.
Co-ordinate and drive customer audits and follow-up on action plan
Ensure the means to understand customer expectations and increase satisfaction
Develop quality management: Support in structure set up, Risk analysis and customer communication
Support in updates of DFMEA and PFMEA
Ensure continuous improvement work

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:
MSc degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or similar
• 4 years' experience in hands-on failure root cause analysis.
• 2 Experience in automotive or battery systems within Customer Quality process or other relevant experience.
Knowledge of quality, problem solving and process improvement tools (8D, FMEA, SPC). 6 Sigma is a plus.
Experience in developing processes, standards, and documentation in an efficient way to meet customer requirements.
Knowledge and experience of applying ISO9001:2015.
Excellent English written and oral skills.

Fluency in other languages (Swedish, German)
Experience from a multi-cultural environment
