Scania Engines is a product area, developing and marketing Engines in a broad range of industrial and marine applications. At Technical Development, within Scania Engines, we develop and adapt the complete engine and it 's performance throughout the complete project and product lifecycle. As our current head of Mechanical Design is taking up a new position within Scania Engines, we are looking for a successor.

Assignment
In the Mechanical Design team we cover the general engine layout and design and also testing of basic engine mechanical hardware. It has an important, supporting role in the flow of customer adaptations and are coordinating certain projects. Our focus is not only traditional engine development, but also connecting to the customer needs, understanding the opportunities going forward.

As head of Mechanical Design you will cooperate and depend on your team of engineers in design, testing and coordination roles. You will be a part of the Technical Development management team and report to the Director of Technical Development, Scania Engines.

Personal profile
You have either a university degree in Engineering or have gained corresponding knowledge via experience. We believe you to be interested in, and be enthusiastic about technical development. Even more important is that you share our passion to understand the customer need, to deliver on targets and to excel in performance and improvements in our ways of working. You are fluent in both English and Swedish and have documented experience from a previous leading role. Powertrain, design and managerial experiences are considered as merits.
