Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a world-leading supplier of equipment and complete solutions for the mining and construction industries, with machines, hard metal tools, service and technical solutions for the extraction and crushing of rock and minerals.
We are now looking for a Construction Contractors Customer Applications Specialist.
Key performance areas
The Construction Contractors Customer Applications Specialist is responsible for understanding and describing the customers.This role is responsible for development and implementation of the application area's competence development offering for both Regions and CNS Central Functions, as well as for our customers and distributors.
As a Construction Contractors Customer Applications Specialist your main responsibilities include:
• Maintain a strong safety focus within the applications area and help ensure compliance with all policies
• Make sure there is a strong focus on health, safety, environment & quality in all customer applications competence development activities
• Be the global customer applications expert advisor for relevant offering, competence and marketing & sales development activities
• Create, document and present the Customer Application Strategy, including reviewing development, training and marketing plans from relevant product lines, aftermarket products, product development centers and front line teams
• Develop and manage training and competence development activities relevant for the full customer application, e.g. exploring and explaining what are the best offering solutions for the relevant application and how to best market, sell and service them
• Analyze long term business needs for competence development and implement new actions based on needs
• Build and manage a network of customers and distributors that are key for the applications area and the application's external competence centers
• Support the development, training and implementation of relevant marketing and sales approaches to increase our success with the target customers and distributors
You will report to the Vice President of Business Development and Offering for the construction segment.
Your profile
• Relevant educational background in engineering, marketing and/or business at the university level
• Experience from working for, or with, construction contractor customers internationally in Mobile Crushing and Screening and/or Surface Drill and Blast construction contractors
• Experience from marketing, training and/or product line management within the construction industry
• An international background with strong verbal and written English proficiency
• Structured and methodical analytical thinking with strong ability to resolve problems - Strong team player with good listening and leadership skills
• Strong business mind, with a genuine curiosity and passionate interest in contributing to the business
• Driven, energetic and inspirational personality
• Tactical, results-oriented and persistent in pursuing the set goals
• Strong integrity and judgment
• Sense of humor and humility
