Position Overview
We are now looking for a Custom Fabrication Technician for our production facility in Sundsvall. We offer a varied and stimulating work environment with a strong customer focus.
As a Custom Fabrication Technician, you will work with manufacturing and assembling parts for customized power wheelchairs, either in our adaptation workshop or at one of our pre-assembly stations. The work involves both assembly and machining, according to a predefined plan, and may also include tasks that require independent thinking and smart solutions for customization. You will also be responsible for inspecting and testing the functionality of our products and components.
A key part of working at Permobil is contributing to continuous improvement. In our production unit, it is essential that we meet our daily targets, with priority given to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. As a Custom Fabrication Technician, you are expected to follow established instructions and ensure that assembly is always carried out in the safest, simplest, and most efficient way defined. You will actively contribute to achieving daily targets.
The position is daytime, Monday to Friday, based in Sundsvall.
Your profile
Completed upper secondary education, preferably in industrial, technical, or a similar field
Work experience as an assembler/operator
Knowledge of assembly, machining, and welding
Experience with Lean / continuous improvement
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
