Inter IKEA Systems has successfully established IKEA Tillsammans - our corporate culture center in Älmhult. Inter IKEA Culture Center AB has been established to build up an IKEA Museum in the first IKEA Store in Älmhult. Inter IKEA Culture Center AB will operate both the IKEA Museum and IKEA Tillsammans.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Curator/exhibition producer who will be part of the team that builds the IKEA museum. Today there is a small exhibition located in IKEA Tillsammans, ?IKEA through the ages? which describes the chronological design and business development of the IKEA business.
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
You are a part of the unit that is responsible for planning, designing and producing the exhibition for the museum. You are in the content team. Together with the Creative Project Leader and other colleagues with different occupations you will create the base for parts of the exhibition.
You have ability to work with data, documents etc. and transform it into interesting and comprehensible texts and also combining text with adequate media like photography, film and sound.
You coordinate texts that will be shown in the exhibition with archive documents and artifacts from the collection.
YOUR PROFILE
You have at least 4-5 years of experience working as a curator/Exhibition producer. You also have proven academic knowledge about the fields of history, design history, linguistics and similar areas.
Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken and the experience of writing texts adapted to exhibitions.
You are result orientated, well structured and have the experience of managing projects. You are a team player and are open for ideas and proposals from other people. You have ability to communicate in an open and straightforward manner and transform feedback into actions.
You have a proven good understanding for pedagogic and learning processes.
