We are Mimbly
We design and develop sustainable laundry solutions. Our first product, the Mimbox, is a connected device that recycles water, while preventing microplastics from laundry machines from entering waterways and oceans. We want to continue developing innovative solutions in water and microplastic capturing and act as a thought leader in cleantech.
Mimbly consists of 15 passionate team members. We want to have an impact on the world by saving water, energy and microplastics. The Mimbox is an add-on solution used in laundry rooms that can save up to 70% of the water that is used in a wash. As our CTO, you will lead our R&D and be our strategic mastermind when it comes to product development. You will lead the department in day-to-day activities and, with your experience, provide structure for how we work in R&D. The role offers a broad scope of responsibilities, which is part of the charm working in a greentech start-up. You'll manage and sync our activities in development consisting of hardware, software, research and embedded technology.
Your main focus will be on product development and optimization of our first Mimbox, with everything that entails (water connections, water quality, filtering, sensors, IoT and so on). We believe a big part of our future entails working with the software in our Mimboard and offering the market a new way of utilizing data. You will have the ownership of our tech-stack and find solutions on how we can scale our systems to have continuous reliability for our users. You will have the opportunity to work at the core of our innovation process, driving both our products and our organization towards new heights.
There will be numerous different occasions where you put on the Mimbly-hat and represent us at fairs and meetings with potential customers, partners and investors.

• Be the leader of the R&D team and make sure they can function in the best way possible, both with personnel responsibility and by leading them towards our goals
• Expand and recruit your department so that we have a strong team to challenge the industry
• Create and maintain the structures needed so that we can focus on creativity and creating products that help our planet
Who are you?
We believe that you're a practical leader who thrives in an innovative and dynamic environment, with a keen eye for detail and the big picture. Our mission is to create a positive impact on the planet by addressing issues such as water usage, microplastics, and CO2 emissions. To excel in this role, it's essential to share our passion for this mission and act as a thought leader.
Some of the experiences we believe you should have are:
• 5+ years in a similar role with focus on product development
• A degree in engineering or extensive work experience
• 3+ year as a leader, in all aspects of leading a team.
• Experience in creating new products, not just developing and maintaining.
• Experience working with hardware, embedded- and software technology
• Fluent in English, Swedish is a plus
