hela Sverige Evidensia, together with IVC Group, is the leading actor in animal healthcare in Europe and are on a journey to give happy owners of healthy animals the best care possible. To do this they are digitizing every step of the animal healthcare system, from searching for symptoms to booking an appointment and finding the right diagnosis. Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a CTO to build their team and continue this journey in Stockholm.
About the role
As the CTO of Evidensia you will have full technical responsibility and work broad with everything from production to operations. You will lead the way for the coming technical development and to take Evidensia's products to a new level on this digitizing journey. You will start with building your own tech team from scratch as well as to choose which techniques, systems and processes that should be used in order to deliver great products to their users. You will work closely with Evidensia's product owners and chief digital officer as well as development consultants before the new tech team is recruited.
You will work on group-level which means that you will work towards all digital platforms that will be used within Evidensia and IVC Group.

Evidensia together with the IVC Group is pioneering the way to seek and provide animal healthcare in Europe. In Sweden, Evidensia has 63 animal hospitals and veterinarians, and around Europe over the IVC Group has over 1000 clinics with the common goal to help happy owners get healthy animals - by intelligently digitalize the patient journey from start to finish. Evidenisa is a value driven organization with a friendly culture, where everyone wants to make a difference through digitization, therefore every decision is based on the consumer experience together with the veterinarians. They have started this journey and are now in an expansive phase where a lot of exciting things are to come. This might even make animal healthcare better than the healthcare many of us humans experience around Europe.
Their platforms allows animal healthcare providers to treat and follow up patients - safe, secure and online. They are the first in Europe to give the opportunity to share medical journals between different veterinarians, they already have an online booking system and an animal healthcare guide (djurvårdguiden.se) to work more proactive with the animal healthcare. Some things to come are for example an app where you can meet a veterinarian online and they have also embarked on a journey to do computer assisted diagnosis with Artificial Intelligence, which is groundbreaking in animal healthcare and an exciting challenge ahead.
The missing link
You have at least five years experience of software engineering work experience and broad ranging competence in development. To successfully navigate in the role we believe you have some sort of technical management experience, such as formal responsibilities in a leading role or in different projects. It is nice if you have a BSC/MSC in Computer Science or related studies but it is not a requirement. You are fluent in English. If you have experience from working in a company that has gone through similar expansion or digitalization journey that is ahead for Evidensia, it's a bonus.
As a person you take responsibility in what you do by being structured and driven in your work and you are happy with setting up processes. You have a flexible and solution oriented mindset. You are a good communicator and creative team player with and strategic way of thinking.
