The Team
The CTO is a global function, and as our CTO you will be working across all of our markets and engage in a wide range of projects. Internally you will surround yourself with the experts needed to fulfil our vision, and be an important part of the Avaus development team, creating components to serve our customers' visions of data driven sales and marketing.
The role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to ensure our ambitions: Customers served with high quality solutions, and ourselves keeping our technological development aligned with strategy, vision and mission.
This will be no easy feat: We think you are either a CTO tired of large corporations and seeking a more entrepreneurial environment where you can make a significant impact, OR you are an ambitious and driven individual well into your technology career, who is ready to take a strategic leap in your role with us.
As a member of Avaus' executive leadership team, you will act as the leading technology expert making decisions impacting current and future operations and strategic choices for Avaus, as well as our clients. You will work closely with our clients and partners, as well as own Avaus internal technology asset development, and steer development of Avaus IT capabilities. The CTO responsibility areas:
• Part of Avaus executive leadership team
• Owning Avaus technology asset development, architecture, approach and technology selections
• Leading the strategic competence development within tech and our solution architects.
• Advice on architecture and the technology development for our customers
• Cooperate with teams to recruit candidates with the right set of technical skills
• Perfecting Avaus agile product development process and team
• IT Security (CISO reports to you) and IT operations (internal IT and IT support report to you)
Who are you?
• You have several years of experience in a consultancy role, backed up by 7-10 years of experience in technology
• You have a relevant university degree
• You know how agile product development processes and teams operate
• You have hands-on experience in public cloud solutions such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and/or Amazon Web Services
• You have extensive domain understanding of customer (B2B/B2C) data and analytics, and personalization of customer experiences at scale
• You have a wide and well established network of technology experts in Sweden and/or Finland, and preferably other parts of the world
• You strive for excellence and pay attention to details, however you understand the business side of corporate life and enjoy welding tech and business together
• You are an active problem solver, and you don't shy away from making strategic decisions that will impact the direction Avaus is heading
• You are fluent in English and proficient in Swedish. Knowledge in Finnish and/or German is a plus
Practical information
This is a permanent position with a 6 months' probation period. We think you will be based at our Stockholm office at Katarinavägen 17, but the right candidate could also be located in our Helsinki office. Starting date as soon as possible or by agreement. We offer a hybrid remote workplace and you will report to our CEO Emma Storbacka.
