Who are we, your new colleagues?
We are 6 agile teams with enthusiastic engineers belonging to 3 development groups working with Powertrain installation. Two groups in Gothenburg and one in Bangalore India.

Who are you?
We're searching for a person that is passionate for mechanical engineering and project leading. You needs to be autonomous and enjoy to be in the fore front of different tasks. The person should be structured, enjoy solving issues and be a team player to find best solutions for the complete installation. You will belong to the Chassis Department within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. Our VDT is responsible for product updates of Volvo heavy duty range as FM/FH in the area of Powertrain installation. We carry out our work in all stages of product development: Complete Vehicle Projects, Product Maintenance, Advanced Engineering and Component Projects. You will work in close cross-functional cooperation in a multi-cultural environment with both internal and external contacts such as our different development sites around the world.
Your mission as Cross-Functional Technical Leader
The VDT (Vehicle Development Team) is the decision forum for the development groups belonging to PWTI VDT, one of the group managers also acts as VDT leader.
Your mission will be to
Support the VDT leader in driving VDT meetings and VDT forums
Supporting the Agile teams in the VDTs area with project related competence
Give escalating support to the Agile teams in the VDTs area when needed
Act as Epic (Project) owner for less start cost / maintenance
The main design areas covered by the VDT is Cooling system routing, Noise insulation and Air intake. The task is to develop and install various components in these areas. The work will be carried out in all phases, from start cost to maintenance. Several new innovative projects are starting up were new installations is needed.
Qualifications:
Leadership skills
Communication skills driving agenda with several commodities
Preferably a degree in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
Several years of experience of Volvo GTT development process
Experience in Project management
English proficiency
