As a part of this journey we have created a new function, Manning Services Scandinavia. As a team, our mission is to ensure that our Scandinavian vessels are manned with competent and enough personnel to run a safe operation and provide excellent service to our guests. It is our mission to analyse and improve the manning of our vessels and have a long-term perspective when recruiting new employees. What will you do?
The goal is efficient and perfectly optimized manning. It is your mission to actively look for optimized manning solutions to provide our ships with competent and qualified operational personnel. As Crew Planner you support the business to achieve the strategic agenda and objectives. You will plan for effective manning in accordance with needs, requirements and manning matrix's and provide day to day manning. You will ensure that the pool and temporary employees are competent, qualified and suitable experienced and that documentation and certification is compliant. It's a bit of a tricky puzzle, but an exciting one!
Some of your key responsibilities:
• Actively look for optimized manning solutions
• Plan for effective manning as well as provide day to day manning
• Support onboard managers in manning matters
• Participate in onboarding process according to established procedures
• Monitor employment records and make planning in accordance with collective bargaining agreements
• Take part in improvement projects
Who are you?
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. We're looking for a problem solver who likes to create efficient solutions. With your excellent analytical skills you solve puzzles like no other and you have an interest in both numbers as well as people. You need to be thorough and detail-oriented, but still have the ability to see the bigger picture. As the social chameleon you are, you can communicate pretty much with anyone in the organization.
The must-have's:
• Experienced problem solver, preferable within manning
• Skilled in using digital solutions
• B.Sc in Logistics/Mathematics or equivalent work experience
Knowledge in labour law and ability to interpret collective agreements is a big plus!
