Credit Analyst International Bank
The overall purpose of the job is to establish a "first opinion credit analysis of the counterparts and risk monitoring". Your objectives are to be the first point of contact when it comes to assessing the credit worthiness of a designated number of Nordic corporate and potentially financial institutions.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Prepare credit applications, in co-operation with the Global Relationship Managers (RMG), as a part of a) the Annual Reviews of the client files and/or b) intermediate credit proposals and/or c) intermediate reviews of credit ratings and/or establishing new counterparty relationships.
• Assess the scope of consolidation of risk groups including limits and exposure within the corporate global network. In the above context meet clients (jointly with the RMG), if the counterparty risk is weak and/or the nature of our exposure/limits are complex and/or the RMG specifically requests for assistance for any other reason.
• Give credit and rating recommendations to the local credit committee based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of existing and prospective counterparts.
• Assist RMG in submitting the credit files through the appropriate decision channel.
• Maintain an up-to-date view of the development of the creditworthiness of the designated clients and also the development of the markets these clients operate in.
• Registration and maintenance of financial information in Anadefi. Review of documentation to ensure compliance with credit approval (jointly with legal advisors and Nordic Business Support Unit.
• Monitor existing risks and exposure, including global risks for counterparts for which the Nordic Region is RMG.
Required Profile:
• Master degree or equivalent in Business Administration, with focus on Finance and/or Accounting.
• At least 2 years working experience of credit administration from a bank for large, multi-national corporates plus some experience of non-complex credit analysis of corporates or 1-2 years of experience from credit analysis from a bank.
• Fluent in English, both in writing and orally. Knowledge in French or Finnish not a requirement but a plus.
• You are as a person analytical, resilient to stress and flexible. You are independent but at the same time you are a great team player with a high level of integrity.
• Ability to work independently with a variety of tasks in a small team. Ability to work and enjoy working in an environment where the tempo will vary significantly from day to day and where it may be difficult to predict from one day to next which tasks will be on the agenda. Ability to adapt the level of analysis depending of time tables and quality of counterparty.
• Microsoft Office, plus experience from working in non-user friendly database systems.
