UAC is not only the name of the team, but also the module we are working on. It stands for Unit for Automated Control and is the decision maker in most of our autonomous warehouse vehicles. Since we strive to deliver exceptional products the demands on the UAC are high and therefore, we are looking for a colleague that is competent, creative, and eager to learn.
As a UAC Software Developer at Toyota Auto Solutions you will:
* develop new functionality for warehouse vehicles
* enhance existing models
* evaluate new solutions and components
* participate in development of new models
The challenges in the UAC team are often more about solving problems and less about implementation. However, since the complexity of the perception sensors on the trucks are increasing, new submodules with more advanced algorithms have recently been developed. Toyota Material Handling aims to be the main player on the autonomous truck market, and this will require our products to use modern sensors combined with modern algorithms. We therefore want to add competence to our team to deal with these challenges.
We work closely with our colleagues, across several teams, to produce a product that matches, or exceeds, the expectations of our customers. A lot of time is spent in our test lab, where each project has several trucks available for functional tests. Here we work hands-on the final product and see our algorithms come to life.
We always want to improve, so we are open to new ideas to enhance our organization and take us closer to our goal - to produce the best autonomous warehouse vehicles on the market.
