You have a sharp eye for the details and know what quality work is, whilst still being able to see the big picture and carry the vision from inception to completion. You are at ease in front of clients and love the opportunity to enchant an audience with the team's ideas.

The Role

The CD owns the creative vision through a project, finding the best creative solutions harmonizing with time, money and technology restraints. CD's are our main client-facing role for all creative matters in a project and should be comfortable leading presentations, maintaining and nurturing good working relationships with our clients. CD's work closely with Producers to manage our clients and create the best working conditions for the B-Reel team, encouraging team members to seek innovation and perfection. Creative Directors follow the production from start to end and oversee every part of the production. CD 's act as "super conductors" within b-reel, scouting and channelling knowledge and inspiration from within the company as well as bringing input from the outside. CD's can come from all backgrounds - Creative, Technology, Motion or Production departments. The Creative Director reports to the Managing Director.

Tasks

• Oversee the development of creative; combining strategy, interactive and brand design, creative content and technology
• Stay abreast of internal design reviews (across key engagements) to maintain quality and mentor the design team
• Use this knowledge to provide senior-level design guidance across the disciplines
• Taking part in hiring, mentoring, supervising and guiding creative team members to achieve their full potential
• Participate in new business pitches to win new clients and to extend existing client relationships
• Advocate to sell creative work that inspires the studio and builds our portfolio.
• Critically evaluate potential new engagements for appropriate fit
• Support the account team in planning projects with pertinent skill sets and experiences
• Continually explore opportunities to enhance, improve and expand our portfolio
• Work with studio leadership and disciplines across the network to establish and evolve design processes and learn from other offices
• On key engagements, facilitate work-sessions for clients and the design team
• Help to diffuse problems and put forward solutions that are in the best interest of the company and employees
• Continually enhance the creative team's knowledge of the design industry and competitive landscape.
• Represent and present B-Reel at industry events and conference
• Additional duties/skills: Sell projects (produce treatments, present to clients), working together with AD's/Designers and Developers to implement a production.
