Job Summary
Would you like to work with packaging design for exciting brands and new businesses in the food & beverage industry? Do you have a creative, pro-active and result driven mindset and get excited by driving business opportunities forward? -Then you might be our new team member in the North Europe Marketing Team.
We are looking for a dynamic creative designer who will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering visually compelling and impactful packaging solutions that meet the unique needs within innovative new beverage & food products.
You must have a keen eye for aesthetics, attention to detail, and the ability to think outside the box to create designs that enhance the brands and engage the target audience.
You will work closely with customers & colleagues to grow and drive Tetra Pak's business by inspiring and conceptualizing new opportunities within package design.
Your key stakeholders will be Marketing, Sales, Design Developers, Communication, Marketing services, external agencies, design and digital software suppliers and customers.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and reports to the Marketing Manager Market North Europe.
What you will do
Develop innovative and visually captivating packaging concepts for food products, ensuring they align with the brand identity and values of our customers. Create mock-ups, 3D renderings, prototypes and order samples to showcase packaging designs and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
Collaborate closely with customers, cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and production, to understand packaging requirements and project objectives.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, labeling requirements, and packaging guidelines specific to food & beverage products.
Explore and deploy new trends in design & digital technologies relevant to packaging, marketing & innovation.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design solutions.
Educate and onboard customers in our design process and print methods.
Collaborate with external vendors, printers, and manufacturers to ensure accurate and timely production of packaging designs and samples.
Create digital materials for marketing campaigns and websites.
Design visually appealing and user-friendly materials for workshops, including presentation decks, handouts, training manuals, and visual aids.
Work closely with the innovation team to create compelling visual designs that showcase new product concepts and technologies.
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
At least 4 years of packaging design experience, preferably gained as Art Director/Graphical designer in a larger/global organization
Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging design work
Knowledge of packaging regulations, labeling requirements, and industry trends for food products
Experience and understanding of the dynamics in the Retail industry and how pack design can increase shelf impact
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering software is a plus.
Experience and understanding of printing technologies, primarily Flexo Process
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) sufficient for the role
Experience from a matrix organization is an advantage
