Your role and responsibilities
Our mission in ABB IS (Information Systems) is to harness the power of information technology to deliver valuable, reliable, and competitive IS services for ABB. If you have a strong technical skills, analytical mind, and the drive to help us stay ahead of the competition, you are the one we are looking for.
We are seeking a Country Master Data Lead, responsible for managing the master data from a Sweden country perspective. In this role, you will report to the Country IS Manager and work closely with local master data leads across divisions. You will play a key role in supporting business operations, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across systems, enabling data-driven decision-making in our Swedish operations and accelerating AI solutions implementation.
The role of Country Master Data Lead involves acting as the point of contact for all common master data-related matters in Sweden, ensuring alignment with global standards and local business requirements. This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to take ownership of various projects and work independently.
You will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across systems, adhering to global data governance policies. Partnering with local master data owners and management stakeholders in each division and Global Business Centers (GBS), you will maintain data quality as per global KPIs, resolve issues, and implement best practices. You will be the driving force in identifying and implementing process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy and reduce inefficiencies. Additionally, you will participate in country-level projects impacting master data, ensuring best practices are followed. Providing guidance and training to local teams on master data management processes, flow across systems, and best practices is also a key part of the role. Finally, you will prepare reports on master data changes, performance metrics, and process updates, and implement a master data governance portal for Sweden to enable the sharing of best practices and foster collaboration.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in master data management in a multinational environment is a merit.
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of data governance, data standards, and data quality practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Proficiency in English and Swedish language.
