New and Strategic Project Markets, within Sales and Marketing is working with business development for strategic markets, everything from establishing Scania business in new markets to further increase the result in already existing set ups in focus markets.
Iran is a strategic focus market for Scania, and a project closely interacting with the Ex-Board. The annual sales potential is of some 5.000 trucks through MAMMUT Diesel and more than 1000 buses through OGHAB Afshan. Iran is a fast emerging market, with high complexity and uncertainty, full of daily challenges in an exciting cultural context.
Currently, extra focus on the service sales and retail development is crucial in order to achieve the goal of becoming a superior service partner in the market.
Work description
As a Country Manager, you are responsible for all Scania activities in the country. You define goals and targets together with the distributors and the management of Scania. You steer the operation to achieve the targets by following the activity plan, market plan and business plan created with the team and manage the resources to implement the annual budget. You also coach both companies on improving organization, salary and dealer incentives, and KPI:s to achieve long term performance on customer satisfaction, efficiency and productivity. In reaching this you are also responsible for our local team of four experienced expatriates stationed in Tehran. In Sweden you are responsible for a project coordinator.
In short:
• Responsible to create and carry out the Scania business in Iran
• Define targets regarding volumes, profitability, prices and product mix
• To actively achieve financial performance targets and business objectives
• Manage and coordinate cross functional responsibilities, primarily those related to Customer financing, Parts, Training and Technical Support & Services including IT.
• To be responsible for the overall consolidated Scania result in the market.
• Manage local Scania team
• Situated in Södertälje and requiring regular travelling
As a person, you are very commercial and have a long experience of creating and conducting Scania business. You have documented experience from successfully leading a Scania retail unit and/or being part of a management team working with country specific Scania strategies on a distributor level.
We would like to see that you have the following: .Appropriate business and/or technical education (academic degree)
• Sales and Service experience/knowledge
• Industrial experience/knowledge (2 production units in Iran)
• Ability to interact cross-functionally within Scania
• Relation building competence for interaction with foreign parties
• Result oriented (both business performance and quality of work)
• Entrepreneurship, conceptual thinking and convincing power
