As Country Environmental Specialist for ABB Sweden, you will have the overall responsibility for the development of the organization's environmental management system and act as an expert in several environmental issues. In this role, you work as a cohesive force for ABB Sweden's overarching environmental management work, leading and coordinating a group of environmental specialists across our various business areas and divisions. Building efficient teams and collaborating with multiple parts of our organization are integral parts of the assignment.

Being part of our Sustainability work, this role will apply knowledge to assist the business, offering solutions and advice to address a variety of environmental issues, and engaging stakeholders to raise awareness and win commitment to sustainability goals and to drive environmental performance, both internally and externally.

Location for this position is in Västerås, Sweden.
Your responsibilities
Driving continuous improvement by implementing the Group-wide system, tools, training and programs, ensuring a strong focus on the environment throughout ABB Sweden, both externally and internally
Ensuring that appropriate environmental equipment and tools are available and used
Supporting our leaders and the local environmental specialists to ensure the organization is compliant with environmental regulations, standards and guidelines
Organizing documentation and making sure processes align with policies and standards (ISO 14001 and 50001) and in preparing internal and external audits
Reporting on environmental performance and on progress in implementation of sustainability objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and sharing best practices within ABB Sweden
Monitoring of applicable regulations and responsibility of reporting for the legal entity, ABB AB, to various authorities
Networking, inspiring the business, sharing best practices and hold training courses

Your background
Experience in project management, engaging and influencing people
Structural approach to work, strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions
Ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
A Bachelor 's or Master 's degree in technical area, preferably in environmental or sustainable technologies, or chemical engineering
Fluency in Swedish and English
Knowledge of chemical legislation and previous involvement in energy saving or process improvement projects is an advantage
It is important that you have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner, as well as a strategic ability to see the big picture and connections. Furthermore, you have a knack for empathizing with others' perspectives and communicating effectively.
