Your role and responsibilities
Take ABB's Communication in Sweden to the Next Level. Are you ready to lead and elevate the communication strategy for one of the world's most innovative technology companies? As Head of Communications for ABB Sweden and Robotics & Discrete Automation, Sweden, you will play a key role in shaping ABB's brand, building strong media relationships, and driving strategic communication in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

As ABB's primary spokesperson in Sweden, you will be responsible for media relations at the highest level, ensuring that the company's vision and messaging reach the right audiences. This is a unique opportunity to influence, inspire, and lead a skilled team in a cutting-edge industry.

Lead and inspire a team of five communication professionals, including a dedicated Robotics Communications Leader.
Lead Sweden Communications function "Community of Practice" comprised of Division communications teams to support the development of the function and "One ABB" Sweden story.
Position ABB in the media as the company's main spokesperson towards business media in Sweden.
Strengthen ABB's brand and reputation through strategic communication, both external and internal, that supports business goals and drives profitable growth.
Manage crisis communication as part of ABB's Swedish crisis task force, ensuring swift and effective handling of challenges.
Working with ABB Group Communications, lead communications around ABB's financial results in line with Swedish regulatory requirements, including support of CEO with media interviews and additional press outreach to maintain ABB's image and reputation in Sweden.
Collaborate with business leaders and divisional communicators to develop external communication plans that enhance ABB's market position.
Translate business strategy into a powerful communication strategy, engaging customers, employees, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role
Undergraduate degree, or higher, in Communications or other relevant discipline.
15 years' experience in Communications, mix of agency and corporate experience in a highly matrixed organization preferred.
In-depth demonstrable knowledge and experience of all aspects of internal and external communications.
Extensive network within the press and media and ability to lead local crisis communications autonomously.
Strong Business partnership, collaboration and communication skills, with deep experience in managing internal and external relationships seamlessly.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams and influence from in a matrixed organization.
Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken) and strong writing/editing skills.
