What you'll do

We value personal qualities, diversity, and team spirit and are seeking a talented and experienced Cost Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate needs to have a broad experience from key areas in the value chain, such as procurement, R&D and cost management.
* Driving and developing relevant Cost Management strategies that drive cost savings, and improve overall procurement processes, included systems and methodology to enhance product cost performance
* Prepare and execute key cost reduction events (e.g., negotiation events, teardowns, idea generation hackathons) and synchronize product streams through PI-planning
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and recommend procurement solutions
* Monitor procurement metrics and KPIs to measure the success of procurement initiatives
* Defining, deliver and continuously improving a systematic approach, with clear ownership, processes, tools, as well as critical competences and structure to ensure products meet their profit (or cost) targets and that stakeholders' execution of cost initiatives are supported.
* Develop toolbox for idea generation and value capture (e.g., analyses, teardown approach, negotiation events) together with the extended cost community and (as needed) hold trainings for key people e.g., facilitators (teardown events), sponsors (negotiation events), buyers (idea generation toolbox)
What you'll bring
* Broad experience from procurement from key areas in the value chain, such as procurement, cost management, business control.
* Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
* Minimum of 7 years of experience from other key functional areas in the value chain, such as procurement, business control, cost management and/or R&D, preferably in an international context.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills
* Management experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement-related software
* Your interpersonal skills are highly developed, as you are an inspiring and inclusive leader who masters the art of building highly functional teams.
