As Cost Estimator at CEVT, you are responsible for creating cost estimates, all the way from high level assumption-based ideas and concepts, to detailed calculations on existing and known products. The ability to replicate assumed supplier production processes and the need for related production tools, is needed to form the base for the cost estimates. The output has a very strong link to the performance of the company.
You will be a part of a very experienced team that is under development to further enhance tools, systems and processes to become the leading cost estimation team in the business. The work is performed in cross-functional teams and in close cooperation with the key users within departments such as Product Development (R&D), Purchasing and Finance.
Your previous profile could for example be Cost Engineer, Automotive Buyer, Tier 1-2 supplier key-account, Supplier Quality engineer, Production or R&D manager from relevant industry with at least 10 years of experience.
Main focus in your role:
* Support R&D with cost specialist competences when evaluating and selecting technical concepts.
* Support buyers in negotiations at suppliers to optimize tooling and part price.
* Contribute to the development of Cost Estimating framework, instruction and processes together with the Cost Estimation department: Cost elements definition
* Estimating principals
* Estimating process and interaction with other processes
* Local process adaptations
* Execute and support internal benchmark activities.
Qulification and key attributes:
* Specialist knowledge in at least one of the fields Forging, Machining and Casting and related Tool manufacturing.
* Knowledge in other fields such as Stamping, Welding, Bending, Plastics etc are considered a merit.
* A strong internal drive paired with a team player profile
* Solution-focused negotiation skills
* Ability and willingness to travel globally
* Fluent in english, chinese and swedish language skills are an advantage.
