Cost Estimator within Electronics.
CEVT are seeking a Cost Estimator candidate.
CEVT is a Geely subsidiary, delivering automotive components/systems to all of the companies within the Geely group, such as Volvo Car Corporation, Lynk&Co and Geely. You will work at the CEVT Headquarter, located at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden.
As Cost Estimator, you are responsible for creating cost estimates, all the way from high level assumption-based ideas and concepts, to detailed calculations on existing and known products. The ability to replicate assumed supplier production processes and the need for related production tools, is needed to form the base for the cost estimates. The output has a very strong link to the performance of the company.
You will be a part of a very experienced team that is under development to further enhance tools, systems and processes to become the leading cost estimation team in the business. The work is performed in cross-functional teams and in close cooperation with the key users within departments such as Product Development (R&D), Purchasing and Finance.
Your previous profile could for example be Cost Engineer, Automotive Buyer, Tier 1-2 supplier key-account, Supplier Quality engineer, Production or R&D manager from relevant industry with at least 10 years of experience.
Some of your main tasks will be:
* Deliver cost estimate analysis on part price and tooling investments.
* Act as advisor/specialist in the cost target setting processes to understand the financial implications of concepts and designs.
* Support R&D with cost specialist competences when evaluating and selecting technical concepts.
* Support buyers in negotiations at suppliers to optimize tooling and part price.
* Lead and manage Cost Estimating of new or changed parts.
Contribute to the development of Cost Estimating framework, instruction and processes together with the Cost Estimation department.
