Purchasing is responsible for buying products and services for all of Scania's units around the world.
Cost Engineering has a vital role in supporting the organization with expertise in production processes and performs calculations for products, production tools and development costs.

Your duties
As a Cost Engineer, you will ensure the right cost level for new and existing products and will take an active role in the supplier selection process. In cooperation with our purchasers, you will work operatively and produce cost calculations in VW Group's calculation tool prior to price negotiations. In addition to purchasing, you will also cooperate with the relevant design departments and colleagues within the VW Group.
As a Cost Engineer, you will be part of a team with extensive experience and short decision paths.
Your profile
We are seeking someone with good match of technical and commercial skills or experience from production process planning or production engineering. Alternatively, you will have worked as a design engineer or purchaser. In both cases, you will have good knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
You should be enthusiastic, outgoing and willing to take the initiative. An awareness of service and a good communicative ability are important, as you will need to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts, both internally and externally. Proficiency in spoken and written English is a requirement.
