Plastal is looking for a Cost Controller to join their finance team at their HQ in the central of Gothenburg. As a Cost Controller you will be a part of a dynamic finance team and report directly to the VP of Finance & IT of Plastal. You will also work closely with the other departments such as operations & quality, engineering, purchasing and sales.
What you will do
As a cost controller you will lead cost activities for tender calculations, product calculations, material cost, investments and project controlling. You will be involved in many interesting business cases on several different levels. Some travel will be needed to the different plants on occasions (Gothenburg SE, Simrishamn SE, Raufoss NO, Gent NL).
Examples of tasks are:
• Responsible for the product calculation in all phases of a project including follow up on product calculations.
• Coordinate and actively support in updating annual Machine Hourly Rates (MHR) by Plant.
• Ensure a common way of calculating product profitability in the Group.
• Owner of the master file with operational standards in the Group.
• Support Plant Controllers with analyzing deviations vs standard.
• Coordinator in the investment process and support Plant Controllers in investment matters.
• Project Controlling
Who you are
We think that you are a person who is independent, analytical and with a lot of energy. You are also a strong communicator and a good colleague. Your pedagogic skills are an advantage to increase the financial knowledge in the organization and you can easily see the big picture but also break down detailed financial information.
In order to be successful in this role
• Master or Bachelor degree in business administration (or similar).
• Minimum 3 years of experience from cost controlling or senior accounting positions within industrial production.
• Experience in production development/projects is an advantage.
• Experience in understanding cost drivers in production is an advantage.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, both management summaries and in depth analysis, and proficient in English (spoken and written) is a requirement. Swedish both written and spoken is an advantage
• Working experience in SAP is and advantage.
• Experience from automotive and/or industry sector is a great advantage.
