Are you an experienced cost control professional with a passion for driving financial performance in complex, large-scale projects? We are looking for a skilled and motivate professional to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring robust cost control and financial compliance within a major area of the Stegra Boden Project-one of the largest industrial developments in Sweden. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support accurate forecasting, cost management, and project success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee cost control and cost management for assigned project areas, including estimating aligned with project objectives
Provide support to EPCM contractors and contribute to the resolution of cost-related challenges
Lead monthly cost review meetings with EPCM contractors, covering cost reports, cash flow, and change management
Establish and maintain reliable cost forecasting processes across contractors and suppliers
Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, accounting, and project teams to prepare accurate cost analyses and reports
Coordinate monthly cost review meetings with Area Managers and contribute to internal reporting
Support the Head of Project Services in preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders
Monitor project progress to identify risks, trends, and opportunities, and support proactive mitigation actions
Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in cost control within major industrial projects, preferably within an EPCM environment
Strong understanding of project delivery phases and cost management processes
Solid knowledge of cost engineering, estimating, and planning practices (e.g., AACE, PMI standards)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and other key disciplines
Experience with cost control systems and value engineering, including scenario analysis and reporting
Advanced skills in project estimating, including leading estimate development and reviews
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
