Machine Clothing is the world's leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens and other process industries. Albany Engineered Composites is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.
The primary business of Albany International AB Halmstad (Sweden) is supplying the expanding global paper industry with consumable, technologically sophisticated products called paper machine clothing. Paper machine clothing is used to produce all grades of paper from lightweight sanitary tissue to heavyweight container board. These custom-designed engineered fabrics, essential to the paper making process, are manufactured from monofilament and synthetic fiber materials. This basic technology is also utilized for other industrial process applications.
Responsibilities/tasks:
Responsible for variable and fixed cost analysis and reports. The candidate will be a key part of the finance team and will support the team in Switzerland and Asia. The position is located at the Halmstad Plant, Sweden.
Cost Analysis
• Perform various analysis/reclassifications between the departments
• Ensure costs are correctly recorded and reclassified, if need between the departments
• Budgets for Production, R&D, Selling and Technical department
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure all requirements are met for Sarbanes Oxley
• Track CAPEX expenditure
• Canteen expenses reallocation and filing for tax purpose
• Project work as assigned
• SCB reporting including monthly and quarterly analysis
• Main point of contact between Swiss and Swedish Office
• Deal effectively and efficiently with counterparts in Switzerland and Asia
• Deliver effective and timely communication on all issues, both internally and externally
• Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures
Cost Accounting
• Schedule and coordinate inventory cycle count and analyze the inventory discrepancy
• Analyze and update discrete materials standard cost to ensure the accuracy of inventory and costing value
• Manufacturing variances analysis
• Proposal/calculation of BOM, Routing and activity rates changes
• Manufacturing costs monitoring and comparison with Budget and previous year
• Assist plant management team in preparation of plant KPIs
• Compliance with SOX controls - complete the monthly costing checklist
Provide analysis as requested
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A proactive finance professional with experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance
• Solid technical ability and strong analytical skills
• Proficiency Excel skills, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc.
• Experienced SAP user
• Good communicational skills/ fluent In English and Swedish verbal and written
• More than 3 years cost accounting experiences
• Experience in international reporting
