At Corporate Communications, you are part of a global communication team that's charged with developing the awareness and positivity of the Volvo brand and its products by building trusting relationships with journalists, online influencers and policy makers as well as internally through communication with all Volvo Cars employees globally. The Internal Communications team is organised within Corporate Communications. The team is responsible for managing the global corporate communications internally to employees. Our mission is to make sure that our employees are informed about the business performance and engaged in the transformation that is ongoing within the company.
As Reporter you will plan and produce news pieces for the internal audience, mainly for the online channel. You will play an integral role in ensuring that the daily news flow is relevant, interesting and capturing the exciting development of the company and the Volvo brand. This provides you have a genuine interest in people and business, a strong instinct for a good news angle and practical proficiency in writing, photography and filming for web publication. You will work in close collaboration with an editorial team and other important partners.
Main responsibilities
* Develop and improve the daily news reporting internally at Volvo Cars
* Create editorial content, such as articles, photos, film and podcasts
* Work in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, in particular, with Editorial Manager within the Internal Communications team
Required qualifications
* Degree within journalism and/or communications
* Experience of editorial work for online platforms
* Solid proficiency in writing, filming and photography
* Solid understanding of communications in a corporate setting and its strategies
* Interested in digital channel development
* Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken
* Capable of managing the demands of a high workload and short deadlines
* Experience of product development, preferably within the automotive industry is meritorious
