The company and the team

Corporate communications are growing in importance for Scania and plays a key role towards stakeholders both internally and externally to catalyse this change.
What's the opportunity?
As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you are part of the Corporate Communications team. It's the team that drives internal and external communications for Scania Group.
This is a senior role that entails that you actively and on your own initiative to work with and analyse Scania's corporate communications. The role will take communications project management responsibility of significant corporate communications projects, especially driven by the Sustainability and Public Affairs agenda. The position will also work with the activation of strategic topics and key partnerships such as the CEO Alliance and the Pathways Coalition. This role is often tasked with special assignments from the executive management and other Corp Comms stakeholders. It is a role that you both speak and write Swedish and English proficiently.
In addition, this role will be the stream leader in the entire Communications department for the ramp-up of communications relating to Scania's increased presence in China. As such it coordinates the strategic and tactical global communications on the topic.
The team is based at the Head Office in Södertälje outside Stockholm.
What will you be doing?
• Planning and preparing communications activities
• Acting as the communications lead for projects, events, and partnerships, such as sustainability-events, the CEO Alliance and Pathways coalition, facilitating dialogue also with other companies involved
• Supporting Scania spokespersons
• Advisor to colleagues in the global Scania family and the Traton Group.
• Coordinating the stream lead communication for China
What are we looking for in a successful profile?
• University degree
• 5+ years of working with a broad range of communication disciplines
• A mix of a strategic, tactical, and operational capability
• Mindset open to driving transformation
• Flexible and stress-resilient, patient and calm especially faced with executives
• Pro-active and trusted communication advisor
• Strong networking capabilities to build and maintain excellent relationships with journalists and other external target audiences
• Good ability to collaborate with spokespersons, both experts and executives
• Knowledge of people sustainability is a benefit
• Excellent skills in English and Swedish, spoken and written
