Anocca is operating at the forefront of T-cell terapy (TCR-T) development which has the potential to transform the treatment of cancer and other serious diseases. Following the company's rapid expansion in recent years, Anocca is currenly looking to strengthen its finance team. Founded in 2014, Anocca is located in state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facilities in Södertälje, Sweden. Furthermore, it has a hub in Stockholm hosting parts of the software development team and a satellite in London to drive our Business Development activities. Anocca has an experienced and international team of 110 scientific researchers and engineers, majority with advanced degrees and representing over 30 nationalities.
Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated operational Business Controller to join our team. The role allows exposure to all key aspects of financial management and operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing financial operations, performing financial analysis, and providing insights to senior management.
The Business Controller will work closely with Anocca's CFO, Finance organisation and Sr. leadership team and will play a critical role in supporting the company in its transformation from a leading research to clinical stage organisation.
Position Details:
• On-site, in our Södertälje facilities
• Position is full-time, permanent
Core Scope & Responsibilities
Financial planning
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
Reporting / Controlling
• Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports including year-end report and audit
• Follow-up of actuals vs. budget and trend analysis, for the whole P&L
Bookkeeping
• Oversee the accounting and finance functions of the company
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team as well as other parts of the organisation related to financial matters
Compliance
• Maintain and update financial policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Other
• Support other areas as relevant (e.g., Investor Relations/Financing, Corporate Insurances, Corporate Reporting, Relationship with commercial bank, auditor, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
• Hold a degree in finance, business, or equivalent
• Experience from auditing firm or similar corporate experience
• Have a strong grasp of financial management, accounting principles incl. cost accounting
• Written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Previous experience in life sciences is a plus
