Indexable Milling is the biggest product line in Seco, and our ambition is to establish a market leading position in our field. One of our key enablers is our team of Corporate Application Engineers; relationship builders with strong technical expertise that work closely with customers, R&D, sales and product management. Automotive is one of our biggest and most important industry segments, and now we're strengthening our team with a Corporate Application Engineer to be responsible for the continued development of this key area. In this position, you're located at any of our Seco sites, preferably in Europe, and frequent travel of at least 50% around the world is a natural part of your job.
Your mission - coordinate and develop our automotive segment to improve customer value
In this role, you work in close collaboration with our sales organization and our automotive customers - identifying, proposing and implementing indexable milling solutions that create customer value. You also provide crucial input to product management and our custom product units to develop our standard and customized solutions; and to make sure that what we deliver meets expected quality and performance goals, you drive the field testing process for new products. Supporting corporate marketing activities is also an important part of your role, and as a goal-oriented person, you gladly share your knowledge and skills with others, for example by conducting training, webinars and network meetings.
Your character - a proactive problem solver with a passion for technology
We're looking for someone with a technical degree directed towards metal cutting, and at least five years' practical experience from the field. Knowledge of indexable milling or the automotive industry is highly advantageous in this role, and it 's important that you 're an advanced user of Office 365. Since you have a large global network, you need excellent skills in English, and knowledge of other languages, such as Italian, French, German and Spanish, is considered a plus.
