NHV is situated at the entrance to the Port of Göteborg in the grounds of the previous naval base Nya Varvet, and more than 700 students from all the Nordic countries study here every year. Along with some 40 other Nordic institutions, NHV has the Nordic Council of Ministers as its principal and is jointly financed by the five Nordic countries.
NHV is now looking for a Coordinator: Nordic collaboration on literature reviews of medicines.
Initiated by the Norwegian presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers 2006, a secretariat for Nordic collaboration on literature reviews of clinical documentation of medicines will be established for a trial period of one year. The secretariat will facilitate the development of reviews to be shared between the Nordic countries for national re-evaluations of reimbursement of drugs. The Nordic School of Public Health (NHV) has been asked to establish the secretariat and will now employ a coordinator.
Job description for the test period
• To establish a scientific and administrative secretariat for the Nordic collaboration on literature reviews of clinical documentation of medicines for re-evaluation of reimbursement.
• To design a Nordic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for re-evaluations. The main focus in this SOP will be evaluation of efficacy/effectiveness and safety.
• To test the SOP in practice.
• To propose a procedure to coordinate the production and sharing of re-evaluations between the countries.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person graduated in Medicine or Pharmaceutical Sciences, preferably with a PhD degree. Knowledge about the regulation on medicines in the Nordic countries, experience from working with evaluation of documentation of medicines and insight in how the Pricing Authorities and HTA centres are working in the Nordic countries is desirable. The person we are looking for should also have good communication and collaboration abilities. We welcome applicants from all the Nordic countries, especially from outside Sweden.
NHV is a Nordic institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers. Government employees in the Nordic countries are entitled to leave of absence from their regular jobs in order to work for a Nordic institution.
