Chief Operational Officer (COO) is a new role at NIRA where the focus lies in transforming the strategic work into operational priority and excellence. You will be a part of implementing new structures and working methods. Are you the one we are looking for?
Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
As the COO at NIRA Dynamics, you will have the overall responsibility for the implementation of the operational work of the business. Together with your operational management team you will prioritize and ensure quality, profitability and development in product, process and systems cross-functionally, based on NIRA's goals and vision.
NIRA is a small company and works with innovation and growth with new businesses, therefore the COO is an active part in creating profitability through "operational excellence" and continuous improvement. At the same time, the company operates in a global arena and is part of the VW Group, which requires the COO to drive NIRA's perspectives and be responsive towards compliance from owners.
Your team consists of five members with subordinated staff, in total around 20 co-workers, in different responsibilities within test, quality, development services, IT and data acquisition.
You will report to the CEO and you are a vital part of the management team of NIRA. Your goal is to analyze the organizational goals and strategy and to translate them into improvement and activities in order to create profiability and innovation.
More specific, you will have the overall responsibility of;
• Leading the operational Management team
• Operational and strategical development of the business support systems and processes
• Responsible for optimization and development in quality management system
• Responsible for optimizing control and process for suppliers
• Assess and drive feasibility in new product development
• Responsible to ensure compliance of quality from owners, in line with NIRAs vision
• Ensure that continuous improvement is top of mind in every employee

Personal potential is vital, but to succeed in the role we want you to have:
• Master of Science in Engineering
• Experience of working in a technical organisation where software development is part of the business.
• Experience of being a part of a management team
• Experience of leading and implementation of organisational changes and improvement work
• Previous experience of being involved in the development of business support systems and processes
• Responsible for leading and operating in delivery, customer, and implementation cross-functionality
• Good knowledge and understanding of quality management, specifically quality systems in software development
• Knowledge of compliance towards group structure vs improvement management
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent English in speech and writing.
