The role and key responsibilities
On behalf of our client Alten Sweden AB we are now recruiting a Controlling manager. Our current controlling manager is taking a larger responsibility within the organization, therefore we are now looking for a new controlling manager to Alten Sweden.
You will manage a team of four people and you will be based in Göteborg.
Your main responsibilities are:
• Lead and support the controlling team.
• Work close to the business and act as a finance business partner.
• Produce and analyze the Group reporting that is dedicated to the Mother company within the deadlines and in a qualitative manner (budget, forecast and monthly report).
• Be responsible for the operational reporting and financial follow-up of various departments (analysis of results for different business areas / projects, result variances explanations, monitoring of margins, implementation and development of project follow-up).
• Communicate and follow-up business targets aligning with the Group strategy and analyze KPIs to monitor profitability.
• Be part of the closing process (turnover consistency check, bonus calculation, accruals checks) and guarantee figures reliability.
• Participate to the implementation of a new ERP.
• Work on Ad-hoc analyses.
Qualifications and Profile
You have an education with a relevant degree within finance. You have also previously worked as a controller and have at around 7 years experience within finance and controlling from medium to large sized companies / organizations, preferably in an international environment. You have experience from financial planning and reporting as well as follow-up of business performance. Experience from an audit firm can also be an advantage.
You will be working in a fast moving environment where you will be required to take a large responsibility and have to deal with changes.
The work of the controlling department is conducted in close relationship with all other financial departments such as accounting, project and invoicing, purchase and salary. You will also work with the management and provide them with the insights necessary to make the right decisions and to launch appropriate actions.
During the forthcoming year we are changing ERP system (from IFS to Agresso) and one important task is to support the process improvements and system implementations which is why you also have an IT oriented approach to develop and improve processes.
High level of IT literacy including advanced Excel skills is essential along with the ability to handle large amounts of data together is required . Analytical skills in addition to excellent analyzing and interpersonal skills will make you successful in the position.
You are fluent in English and Swedish, written as well as spoken.
Finally, it is key to us that you have the right leadership skills to manage your team and this will be important during our evaluation process.
