As one of our colleagues is heading towards new and exciting opportunities internally, we are now searching for a replacement.
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Controlling Director to join our business unit Consumer Goods in Region North.
The role is part of the regional management team. We operate in the Baby, Feminine Hygiene and Tissue categories and have 7 countries included in our area of responsibility.
The Controlling Director is responsible for analysing the financial performance of the Region against predefined targets and is challenging corrective actions to improve performance of the region. The role coordinates financial controls including all aspects of profit centre accounting and control, cost and operation analysis, administrative systems and procedures in adherence with prescribed corporate policies.
This is done in close cooperation with direct report and across Essity's Finance community by providing the foundation for informed decisions through business partnering while adhering to prescribed corporate policies.
The position is based in Gothenburg and you will report to the VP Sales & Marketing.
Main Tasks
Monitors and follow-up of the respective Region performance and deviations and drive corrective actions if necessary
Challenges and supports the Management Team in all financial aspects (operational and strategic) as the Controlling Business Partner by providing insights to full financial value chain
Process annual budget, quarterly forecasting and monthly closing
Maintains the interface to the Business Unit Controlling network and to Global Business Services
Participates in the Business unit Controlling Network, e.g. to drive best practice within finance and controlling
Drives and supports business improvement projects and business process re-engineering within the region and the network
Captures stakeholder demands and drives financial awareness and understanding in their BU
Follow controlling standards and other Essity policies such as MICR and legal regulations
Key Competencies
Degree in Finance/Commerce
5-10 years' Finance/Commerce experience including management experience
Relevant business experience
Good verbal and written skills, able to communicate on different levels
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
MS Excel / IT Savvy
Fluent English

You are a team player, have genuine curiosity with the ability to work into a pressurized environment and to respect tight deadlines.
