At Polestar - you will be involved in an exciting journey with lots of changes and opportunities. This is a broad controlling role, working closely with your finance colleagues as well as operations. You will be working with a wide range of questions - analysis, follow-up and financial planning to just name a few. This work will provide a great opportunity for you who wants to learn and develop, be thrown into several areas and that way extend your financial, operational and business knowledge. Your expertise and opinion will also help us forming the new finance department.
Your contribution
• Act as a speaking partner to provide holistic finance knowledge
• Provide the business with target setting, develop activities together with operations to reach targets, benchmark analysis
• Drive business models and calculations via pricing and revenue management, sales channel analysis and revenue & margin optimization
• Invoicing and payment flows
• Involvement in the process of setting up subscription and lease rates via financial analysis
• Reimbursement and payment to Polestar Spaces and workshops
• Participate and develop the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process
• Contribute to the budget and forecast process
• Ad-hoc analysis and ad-hoc reporting
Who you are

You present a flexible attitude and are able to embrace changes and possess the ability to work proactively in a changing environment. Since the scope of this Controller position is wide, it will require a good deal of a "go-getter" attitude but also patience in a start up environment. Further on, you also posses a positive mindset and good communication skills.
In order to be successful in this role
• Strong business acumen with good analytical skills.
• Strong ability to take own initiatives, ability to develop and drive the role and the processes forward
• International mindset
• Knowledge of and experience from working in direct customer relationship organization and/or start up is considered meritorious
• Experience from ERP implementation is considered meritorious
• University degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent
• Around 5-10 years of experience as a Controller or equivalent
• Good understanding of financial tools and systems
• Fluent in English
