Position description
The Swedish Match Group Finance department is now seeking to strengthen the team by employing a Controllerwithin the Corporate Control function. Corporate Control has the overall responsibility of the Group's financial reporting which covers a wide array of disciplines. The responsibilities include preparation of the Group's financial statements, providing management with relevant financial information to support strategic decisions, managing on-going projects, responding to various ad-hoc questions and performing in depth financial analyses. Corporate Control has extensive interaction with subsidiaries located around the world, which requires effective relationships with other employees with different nationalities and backgrounds. Furthermore, the department is accountable for monitoring and improving the business performance of the Group by carrying out business follow-up projects.
The Controller will be part of a group that is responsible for the consolidation of the Group's monthly financial reporting and the preparation of the Group's interim and annual reports. The Controller will also participate in developing the guidelines for the Group's financial reporting and act as internal expert in IFRS and accounting matters. The position is located at the Group's head office in Stockholm. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work in international milieu in a corporate environment which promotes personal development and professionalism.
Major responsibilities
• Consolidation of the Group's monthly financial reporting, including the preparation of the Group's interim reports and annual reports
• Develop and administer the Group's financial reporting policies
• Ensure quality and compliance with IFRS in Group financial reporting
• Analysis of accounting standards to determine treatment of accounting issues
• Provide support to Group Management and subsidiaries in complex accounting matters and financial reporting
• Drive and implement financial reporting process improvements
Education: University degree in Business Administration (major in Accounting or Finance)
Previous experience: Sound knowledge in accounting and IFRS. Minimum 5 years relevant experience from accounting and financial reporting. Experiences in group accounting is highly meriting.
Language skills: Fluent in Swedish and English. Additional languages are considered a plus
Specialist knowledge: High degree of literacy in Microsoft Office products especially Excel. Knowledge in consolidation and financial reporting system HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) is meriting.
Personal traits: Great sense of accuracy and good analytical skills. Self-motivated and responsibility conscious and has the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually.
