Scania is now searching for a Business controller to the newly established department Software Development System.
Your assignment
Autonomous and electric vehicles cause a paradigm shift in our industry and the share of the customer value that are created by software is increasing rapidly.
Therefore our new department Software Development System has been started in order to ensure the best developer experience and capabilities in our business. Our mission is to empower development teams within TRATON to efficiently identify customer needs, explore solutions and to develop and deploy new features to the rolling customer fleet. We aim to create an excellent development
experience for all areas within Scania and TRATON that work with product related software and thereby also having a central role of structure and financing of the software factory.
What are we searching for, is this you?
We are now searching for a controller that will have a key role, working close to the department management team, and the way forward for the TRATON software factory. The department is responsible for the "infrastructure" in the factory and key areas to establish are a life cycle perspective in development initiatives, and investments to ensure an agile way of working and a cost-efficient platform.
We are looking for a driven and responsible Business controller who wants to take the controlling area to the next level! Organizationally, you will belong to our department, but will have a very close and important collaboration with your controller colleagues in R&D at Scania and TRATON colleges at MAN and Navistar.
As our new Business Controller, you will have a central and unifying key role with mainly the following duties:
Coordinate the departments forecast/budget process and compile and report monthly and quarterly follow-ups
Coordinate the forecast/budget for the software factory within TRATON
Manage the investment process: coordinate investment plans, handle investment requests and follow-up
Diving the management system of the department
Cost follow-up of development projects and externally funded development projects and represent the department in any audits
Help the department with various ad hoc questions
Continually contribute to developing the controlling area both within and outside the department
Your professional skills
To be successful in the role of Business controller with us, you need to be self-motivated and really enjoy being visible and active in the business. Your social ability in combination with a holistic perspective, high level of service, analytical ability and drive is very important. You have economics or engineering education at university level combined with a few years of work experience from controlling. You have an interest in both economics and technology and feel completely comfortable with spoken and written English and Swedish.
