Then you should join us as Project Leader in Control Systems.
The department Control Systems is organized within the product development organization of Global Trucks Technology in Gothenburg. We work developing and designing electronic control systems for Volvo's heavy and medium duty diesel engines and transmissions. Our customers are the different brands within Volvo group.

Our specific responsibility is to develop control systems for driveline management which includes engines, transmission and exhaust after treatment. This includes development of electronics and software as well as calibration for different applications. It is a rapidly growing area within product development.

Position Summary
The project leader at Control Systems is member of the line organization and represents the Control System Technology in the Project Management Team. The role negotiates the need for new features, delivery schedule and cost with the project organization and with the internal subsystem organization, leading both technical development and subsystem team members within the Control System area. The project leader is responsible to Initiate, execute, conclude and hand-over to maintenance projects according to our processes and meeting targeted QDCF levels. This person will also report, present and communicate to the Control Systems Management in order to prepare for decisions taken in reference groups and steering committees.

We are looking for:
Our future colleague wants to lead the delivery of the premium heavy and medium duty engines and gear boxes of tomorrow. To succeed in this position we believe you possess the following skills:

• You have been working as a project leader or are an experienced project coordinator
• You have great communication skills, capacity to get things done and the ability to create good working atmosphere
• You have a can-do attitude and the ability to motivate and lead others
• You have experience from product development, preferably within embedded systems
• Your education is at M.Sc. level or similar
• You are confident working in global teams and you are fluent in English, written and spoken
• Experience in truck business and/or software for automotive industry is a merit
• Good practical and theoretical knowledge in Powertrain or Electrical fields
