Alstom, the global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, recruits two Traction Control Software Engineers to our office in Västerås.
In the role, you will develop traction system software for high-speed trains, commuter trains and metros. You will be part of a team that together develops, tests and manages the maintenance of software solutions for trains around the world.
What you are allowed to do
Design software solutions for commuter trains and subways
Test and implementation in graphical programming tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
Design, development, documentation, integration and testing of software
Collaborate with neighboring disciplines in mechanics, electronics and systems
Participate in investigations and in the development of solution proposals
Support system testing, train commissioning and homologation
Manage source code, configuration, packaging and delivery of software to trains
We are looking for you who
Have an academic degree BSC, MSC, or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent.
Result-driven, creative, good problem solver, attracted to developing solutions together with others
Has good communicative qualities in speech and writing, both in English and Swedish

Meritorious skills and experience
2-3 years of experience in software development for industrial applications or real-time systems
Experience with Matlab/Simulink or similar modelling tools
