Birka BioStorage is located in Västra Odarslöv village just outside the city of Lund. The core business is storage of customers' research samples at different climatic conditions, as well as handling and transport. Therefore, the business is under authority supervision and primarily follows rules for handling medicines, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
About the job
We plan to expand our control team that takes care of the monitoring, control and maintenance of storage equipment and facility. The assignment involves regular and, if necessary, interventions according to our governing documents and service schedule. The tasks are varied, from daily routine checks to advanced machine repairs. Some efforts are carried out in collaboration with service partners.
If you have an education such as a mechanical engineer, computer engineer, electrical engineer or metrology engineer, or experience as an operations engineer, control engineer or validation engineer, this is an opportunity for you to develop in a fast-growing concept and together with us drive our expansion in Lund during 2023.

Duties
Share the responsibility and carry out regular operational checks of the facility, storage equipment and the backup system
Perform installation and commissioning of new equipment
Perform planned and urgent service and maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning, replacement of spare parts or relocation
Monitor the alarm system and carry out troubleshooting and respond to alarms
Carry out calibration and mapping of storage equipment/spaces according to internal procedures
Develop existing or new operating procedures and control documents
Be part of the on-call group that responds to remote alarms from the facility
Establish new and develop existing agreements with service partners
Other efforts such as sample handling, transport or off-site assignments at the customer are included in the role
About the employment
Working hours: 8-17
Duration: 6 months or longer
Access will take place as soon as possible
