Are you passionate about helping people to understand the legal wording in purchasing contract and solve purchasing contract related problems? Join the contract management team within purchasing. At Purchasing, you are part of a global team with the task to procure all the parts and equipment need to make the cars. You and your team handle all the contracts with our supplier's worldwide. Our mission is to attract, recruit, develop, engage and retain the people that build the future for Volvo Car Group.
The Contract managers work as one group supporting all the buyers in their daily work with suppliers to ensure good liable contracts enables us to reach good control over our business. As Contract Manager you will report to Director of Contract Management within Purchasing.
Main responsibilities
Provide first line legal support (mainly in contract area) to buyers and purchasing managers' daily contract related work
Create new contract templates based on need and draft customized contract when necessary
Analyse and support to solve contract related dispute with supplier
Plan and provide legal and contract related training sessions to buyers and purchasing managers
Provide legal support to local and global purchasing projects
Secure coordination between Purchasing and Legal in contract management area
Required qualifications
Master degree of Law
Minimum 10 years of experience as in-house in car manufacturing company with oversea working experience in USA and EU countries
A skilled, service oriented and pragmatic lawyer with integrity and communicative with well-developed social skills
Global projects legal supporting experience and deep understanding of purchasing process
Fluent in English (written and spoken), and fluent in other language (preferable Mandarin) is a plus
